We got started on the basement project last week by installing the last window that needed to be replaced. I had procrastinated installing this window because it required installing some bricks to reduce the width of the opening from about 40" to 28". This reduction in the size of the window was necessary because of obstructions on both the inside (i.e. post installed in the basement to support the beam in our kitchen) and outside (i.e. washroom addition). The brick and window installation were not too difficult though, but we still need to trim the outside of all of the basement windows at some point.
